We are thrilled to announce a new addition to our esteemed training staff at In The Zone. Raul Ortega, a seasoned catching and hitting instructor, is joining us to share his extensive knowledge and experience with our players. Ortega’s rich background in baseball spans from his time at Howard College (Juco), University of Rio Grande Valley (Division 1), to a professional career in the Pecos League and the MLB Draft League.
We are excited to have Ortega on board, particularly as part of the new SABRE Baseball club program. As a switch-hitting catcher, Ortega’s expertise lies in various areas, including an in-depth understanding of the game, training in mobility and agility, and mastering the skills of catching and hitting. His coaching philosophy, which has been developed over six years, is driven by a passion for guiding young athletes towards achieving their life and athletic goals.
At In The Zone, we believe in the holistic development of our players. Ortega shares this belief, focusing not only on baseball skills but also on life skills and communication. He is committed to helping his students reach their full potential and achieve greatness, both on and off the field.
